Editor workspace
From the dashboard, create a new document or open an existing one to enter the editor workspace. This is where most of the writing happens, and where research, draft, and AI stay together in one continuous place.
Knowledge panel (left): Add reference notes and sources for the document. These notes ground the assistant so suggestions stay close to your material instead of drifting into generic output that ignores what you already gathered.
Editor (center): A distraction free writing surface with formatting tools and autosave. The document stays the hero panel so the experience feels like writing first, not chatting first, while you shape the draft.
Assistant panel (right): Ask for drafts, rewrites, or help with a selected passage. Every suggestion appears as a proposed edit you can review before inserting or replacing text anywhere in the document itself.
Knowledge notes
Before asking the assistant to draft, add your research into the Knowledge panel. These notes stay attached to the document, so the AI writes from your material instead of inventing context it never actually saw.
Add notes: Drop in reference snippets, interview notes, or source material you want the assistant to use while drafting each section of the document.
Keep it local: Knowledge stays per document, so each piece of writing can pull from its own set of notes without mixing projects or borrowing the wrong research.
Ground the AI: Every assistant response can reference these notes, which helps keep tone, facts, and direction closer to what you already gathered for this piece.
AI directions
Set directions for how the assistant should write. These instructions travel with the document, so you can guide tone, structure, and style without repeating yourself in every chat message you send.
Set the tone: Tell the assistant whether to sound formal, editorial, concise, or conversational for this document so every reply stays in the right voice.
Shape the output: Add preferences for length, structure, or what to emphasize so drafts start closer to what you need before you begin revising.
Stay consistent: Directions apply across the conversation, which keeps suggestions aligned as you revise and insert content throughout the writing session.
Chat to insert
Use the assistant to draft content, then bring it into the document only when you are ready. Loomi proposes edits instead of rewriting the page on its own without your say.
Ask for a draft: Prompt the assistant with what you need, using your knowledge notes and directions as context so the first reply already has somewhere solid to start from.
Review first: The response appears as a proposed edit you can read carefully before it touches a single line in the document.
Insert when ready: Choose insert or replace so you stay in control of what enters the writing surface and how the draft continues from there.
Selection to revise
Highlight a section in the document and use the 'Add to chat' feature when you want the assistant focused on specific text. You can add more than one selection, so multiple sections can sit in chat together as shared context.
Select text: Highlight any sentence or paragraph you want to work with, whether you need a rewrite or a clearer explanation of that section.
Add to chat: Attach one selection, or keep adding more, so the assistant can use several pieces of context at once instead of only a single highlight.
Ask or revise: Ask anything related to the context you added for a better understanding, or request a revision of the highlighted text when you are ready to rewrite it.
Replace with care: If the assistant proposes a rewrite, review it first, then insert or replace only the selected section once you are happy with the change.
